Dana White thinks Anderson Silva may change tune on wanting to fight Jon Jones

Though pound-for-pound king Anderson Silva has been linked to a super-fight with UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre countless times in the past, the bout fans seem to want even more is a match-up between ?The Spider? and light heavyweight title-holder Jon Jones. However, Silva and Jones have both dismissed the possibility when asked about it, pointing to the respect they share for one another.

While they may feel that way at the moment, UFC President Dana White has a different take on the matter and thinks Silva might feel differently if he faces St-Pierre and comes out with his hand raised.

Jones Considers Fight with Silva a “Lose-Lose Situation”

?As you start to get to a point where Anderson is in his career, he’s beat everybody, he broken every record. If he wins against Georges St-Pierre, I guarantee you he’ll be eyeballing Jon Jones next,? said White in an interview with Inside MMA.

The 37-year old Silva has made it clear he only wants to be booked in major match-ups at this stage in his career, lending weight to White?s assumption. And, considering Jones? accomplishments thus far, there?s no doubt he?s an adversary Silva has to consider colliding with if hoping to go down as the greatest fighter in MMA history.
