Tim Bradley Vows a 'Butt Whupping' For Devon Alexander

Filed under: WBA, WBC, WBO, Golden Boy Promotions, Boxing Rumors, HBO

WBO junior welterweight (140 pounds) Tim Bradley lashed out at southpaw WBC and IBF counter part Devon Alexander during a recent video interview with BoxingScene.com's Luis Sandoval, even though Bradley has yet to sign a contract for their proposed HBO televised Jan. 29 clash, and Alexander already has.

The 27-year-old Bradley (26-0, 11 knockouts) did not go into detail concerning his delay in officially agreeing to face Alexander (21-0, 13 KOs), even as he also took shots at WBA king Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KOs), who will meet WBA interim champion, Marcos Rene Maidana (29-1, 27 KOs) of Argentina on Dec. 11 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

Khan and Maidana are promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.

Bradley, of Palm Springs, Calif., simply vowed that his fight with Alexander, of St. Louis, Mo., will take place, yet he has not signed a contract which includes an automatic rematch no matter what the result of the first bout is.

Below are some take outs from Bradley's interview with BoxingScene.com, which took place on Saturday night at The Staples Center in Los Angeles following a decision by Shane Mosley over junior middleweight (154 pounds) rival Sergio Mora. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
