Last weekend at Bellator 78 in Dayton, Ohio fans saw one of the most brutal knockouts in Bellator history after the ref decided to wait to intervene when Andrey Koreshkov was pounding out an unconscious Marius Zaromskis halfway through first round. Also on the card, Lyman Good was able to advance to the final of the promotion’s ongoing welterweight tournament with his TKO win over Michail Tsarev. Now, with the wins behind them, the two have a date to find out who will challenge for the divisional title.
According to a press release from the company, Good-Koreshkov are set to scrap on November 30 at Bellator 82. The show takes place at The Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
Good (14-2) was Bellator?s first welterweight champion , beating Omar de la Cruz in the final of the Season 1 tourney. A little over a year later, Good lost the belt to Ben Askren and hasn?t been able to navigate through another tournament to get a crack at the guy who took his title. Good is on a three-fight winning streak, last losing to Rick Hawn in April of 2011.
Comparably, Koreshkov is undefeated as professional in MMA and is 4-0 as a Bellator fighter. Koreshkov has finished eleven of his fights and has only seen the third round a single time in his career.
