When a media conference call intended to promote the upcoming August 11th fight between Tavoris Cloud and Jean Pascal was cancelled this afternoon, the boxing blogosphere immediately got to buzzing. It didn't take long until speculation surfaced that the fight was going to be postponed due to an injury to Pascal's hand.

Tavoris Cloud will defend his IBF light heavyweight title against Jean Pascal in August. The fight will be held Aug. 11 at the Bell Centre. Cloud, who is from Tallahassee, Fla., is undefeated (24-0, 19 KOs), while Pascal, from Montreal, has a record of 26-2-1, including 16 knockouts.
