UFC 134 weigh-in: Brazil vs. the rest of the world

A pro-Brazil crowd showed up for the UFC 134 weigh-in this afternoon in Rio de Janeiro. All of the American fighters were greeted with booing and chanting. That said most seemed unphased. Forrest Griffin waved on more catcalls and Brendan Schaub just chuckled. All 24 fighters made weight and there was little drama during the staredowns.

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva came in just under the middleweight limit at 184 pounds and said he hopes everyone comes out to back this "Brazil vs. the rest of the world card". His challenger Yushin Okami checked in at 183.

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua looked much trimmer than he did at UFC 128 against Jon Jones. Griffin nearly ran to scale. It looked like a well-managed weight cut for the American. On Wednesday, he told Dana White he was 216. When we saw him last week at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas he couldn't have been much heavier than that. Griffin's had previous cases where he was walking around in the 220's days before the fight.
